Extensively Spreading the SOS Messages

By Cape Town News Group (Originally in English)

[Cape Town] Since early this year, fellow initiates from Cape Town Center have heeded Master’s call to spread the SOS messages. They have been diligently distributing SOS flyers on the streets and in the mail boxes of residences in various suburbs. What’s more, they have attended a variety of big events in order to reach the crowds and encourage them to change their dietary preferences to help stop global warming.

In March, Golden Year 5 (2008), the initiates went to two major sport events: the “Argus Cycle Tour” that attracted about 39,697 participants and the “Two Oceans Marathon” with 19,000 runners. Both international events drew thousands of cheering fans.

While distributing the flyers and talking to the athletes, the initiates were delighted to find that a lot of them were already vegetarians. They were perfect examples of good health and energy that can be achieved through the plant based diet. A schoolteacher from a remote town was very happy to meet the initiates as he had been a lone voice in his village trying to convince his colleagues and friends to take action to help stop global warming. He took a lot of flyers to be distributed at his school in Tha’banchu. Many young people, after reading the SOS messages, returned to request more information as they were unaware of the seriousness of this issue and the way in which the vegetarian diet could help.

On March 15 and 16, at the navy showcase event in Simonstown, the initiates handed out flyers to over 10,000 visitors. Some were extremely grateful to receive such important messages, while others felt sad that the public had not been informed earlier as the relevant information has been available since 1979.

On May 24 and 25, the annual ‘Celebrate Life Festival’ was held at the Cape Town High School. The initiates grasped the opportunity to introduce Supreme Master Television at their booth and shared vegan snacks, recipes and SOS flyers with the visitors. One gentleman was very touched to see his mother language – Persian - subtitled on the screen. Many guests to the event happily announced that they are vegetarians already and also showed a keen interest in Supreme Master Television. It was especially encouraging to hear that some have kept the Alternative Living flyers received last year on their fridges and have either become completely vegetarian or are well on their way towards such a lifestyle!

With the grace of Heaven and continued and concerted efforts to spread the SOS messages, let’s hope and pray that more people will be inspired to choose a vegetarian diet in order to save our beautiful and precious planet.
