Receipt and thank you letter from the Geneva
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
                  for Master’s US$10,000 contribution |

In April 2009, torrential rains produced devastating floods
in much of western Somalia, destroying many houses and causing the
loss of two lives. Amidst the devastation, many families also had
to evacuate to seek food and shelter. The victims’ desperate
prayers for help touched Supreme Master Ching Hai, who immediately
contributed US$10,000 to assist in the relief work.
Through the assistance of the International Federation
of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) from Geneva, Switzerland,
Master’s timely contribution was able to provide food, shelter
and medical care to victims in the areas most affected by the flooding.
Later, IFRC sent a letter to thank Master for Her generosity and
concern. We pray that the Somalis have found comfort and been able
to return to the safety of their homes.
