Faith in Master Brings Miracles

By fellow initiates in China (Originally in Chinese)

Since 2007, Master has constantly emphasized the importance of the vegetarian diet in saving the planet. When I saw Her worried expression on Supreme Master Television, I prayed to Her: “Please help me be Your tool. Bless me, encourage me, and make me Your best instrument.” With Master’s blessing, I worked together with another fellow initiate to advocate environmental protection in our school. Our various activities were very successful, and received earnest support from the school principal and academic director.

Towards the end of 2007, we gave the students an opportunity to learn how to love animals by helping some homeless ones. We took in about a dozen dogs, cats and birds, which were very friendly, and found homes for all of them among our relatives, friends, colleagues and students. In early June of Golden Year 5 (2008), the government placed restrictions on the production and use of plastic shopping bags. We took the opportunity to purchase in bulk 4,000 reusable shopping bags and let the students distribute them. This activity received enormous positive response. Not only did the media report our action, many schools and departments also called us enquiring about our effort. Our principal and school counselor were deeply touched and arranged for us to give a talk on global warming at a PTA meeting. All this verified Master’s words: “If we truly believe in our own good intention, and trust and rely on the Master, all will go smoothly.”

Through a tree planting activity, more teachers and students became aware of what we all can do to help mitigate the current critical climate change situation, and consequently became more open to realizing the benefits of the vegan diet. After a discussion with the principal, we transformed a desolate spot on the school property into an organic vegetable garden. He then promptly consented to let the fifth and sixth grades students participate in growing vegetables. We taught them how to mix organic fertilizer, clear weeds, water the vegetables, and even sing to or pray for the sprouts early in the morning. In doing these simple tasks, many students received God’s blessing and love, which helped them overcome their bad habits and develop more compassion. Our activities were reported in newspapers, magazines and on television.

In early February, we started teaching the Be Veg, Go Green, Save the Planet ideal. Many students gradually switched to this noble lifestyle, and in one class, almost 80 percent of the students became vegetarian, with the rest eating less meat. Some parents became vegetarian as well; one even gave up his meat business. Later, several fellow initiates funded the printing of thousands of Be Veg, Go Green, Save the Planet flyers for distribution. Many people joined in our endeavor, including the principal of a kindergarten. A vegetarian herself, she encouraged her staff to go veg and helped us hand out more than ten thousand flyers. A teacher from another school, Ms. Fan, who earnestly supported our ideal, obtained consent from her principal to organize students to advocate the vegetarian diet in the school as well as distribute several thousand flyers. Some students even used their own money to print the flyers to help disseminate the be veg message.

There were times when we felt frustrated at the lack of funding and assistance. However, when we think of Master, we know that we have to persist even if there is only one of us to do the work. Relying on our faith in Master and God’s blessing, we often unknowingly succeed in accomplishing tasks that Master asks us to do, and these events have filled our life with delightful surprises. Although there are only a few of us, many miracles have occurred that we ourselves find incredible. We can only continue to thank God for giving us the opportunity to participate in this honorable work, and subsequently witness Hiers omnipresent love and power.
