Much impressed with his first meeting of Supreme Master Ching Hai, Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc, publisher of Văn Hóa magazine, printed a feature article in the special Lunar New Year edition: “From Traces of Previous Lives to Celestial Art by Supreme Master Ching Hai.” Master’s New Year wish for Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc and the magazine appeared on the front cover of the special edition:

Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc is also the editor-in-chief of the US-based Văn Hóa magazine. He has written hundreds of articles ranging from essays to interviews, accompanied by outstanding photographs taken by the journalist himself. Over the years, Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc has been the recipient of many awards and accolades from officials in recognition of his public service and cultural contributions. On December 12, 2008, he attended the premiere of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s latest publication, Celestial Art: Glorifying Earth with Heavenly Beauty, as one of the guest speakers.

He also authored the 5-page feature in which he paid tribute to Supreme Master Ching Hai’s artistic talent and contributions to humanity:

…All the musical galas… hosted by the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association, from the west to the east coast of the United States, in performing arts theatres with seating capacities of five to ten thousand people. Dozens of Vietnamese and international artists from around the world participated in the galas with a variety of their performances in literature and art. These performances, combined with Supreme Master Ching Hai’s humanitarian and gracious spirit, reverberated like a giant philharmonic symphony orchestra… 

In the article, Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc introduced to his readers Supreme Master Ching Hai’s biography, Her teachings, and Her artistic creations that included Traces of Previous Lives and Her latest book, Celestial Art. He wrote that Her “inner power immediately enlightens those who dedicate their life to virtuous purity, vegetarianism and meditation. People and her disciples began to honor Her as Supreme Master Ching Hai.” In reference to Traces of Previous Lives, he shared with the readers that:

‘Traces of Previous Lives’ is the embodiment of a compassionate soul that quivers upon seeing people suffering, upon feeling the delight of the misty heaven and Earth, and is astounded by the world’s struggle in mishaps and danger overwhelmed by the owed and the repaid in love and in the time of conflict.

             The poetic breath from Supreme Master Ching Hai’s verses is

              a lotus emitting its fragrance of worldly life, which evidently is

            the gift of universal life repaying the karmic debt from all the

            paths of love arranged by the divine Mother of the Most High.

Regarding the book Celestial Art, Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc praised:

The artwork embodies the creativity of Supreme Master Ching Hai within the quite profound literature and art boundary. With the combination of its magnificent designs offered by initiates, the book has created a deep and wonderful impression in the hearts and eyes of people.

As we turn each page of the book, we will immediately feel the overwhelming love like the pure ocean, the tender selflessness as high as a mountain, the innocence of the so serene, and the inner feeling of dedication that fills the devoted little body in its quest for people’s happiness….

Celestial Art is a meticulous work of art that embodies the wonderful qualities of us all, love, joy, peace, beauty, nobility, clear vision and noble faith. Her boundless creation in this field of art and Her true nature have really made a profound impression.

Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc has only glowing words for the book’s author: “So humble, so simple and spontaneous, like that of Her compassionate love and Her unconditional dedication. Supreme Master Ching Hai – a manifestation of Truth, Beauty and Virtue.”

When Supreme Master Ching Hai saw Văn Hóa magazine’s cover story, She wished to convey this message to Mr. Lý Kiến Trúc:

“All the best wishes to him and family. Please thank him for the honoring article and for his loving affection that spans many years and thousands of miles.”
